Need for donations

Calgary Towhid Centre is a charitable people-founded institution which was formed by the collective efforts of a group of benevolent Calgarians according to the provincial laws of Alberta, and has been registered as a not-for-profit charity under the financial regulations of the CRA.

This centre was officially registered as a Canadian charitable institution in August 2016. Donors can receive up to 50% tax credit from the CRA for donations to this centre. Those donating for the first time to Canadian charities can receive up to 70% tax credit on their tax returns for the amounts donated.

This centre strives to utilize the full potential of the religious, social and cultural groups and activists to create a desirable environment for gathering and interaction of Farsi speakers in the City of Calgary and help to bring together the Iranian and Farsi speaking community of Calgary.

Note: Calgary Towhid Centre is a registered Canadian charity and will issue a tax receipt for donations of 50 dollars and more, and donors can receive up to 50% of their donations back from the CRA as tax credit.

Financial assistance for religious ceremonies

Since the Towhid Centre is a CRA registered charity, all monetary donations to this center are claimable for tax refunds. Donations are used for the following cases:

Current costs including mortgage payments, monthly condo fees, utilities including heat, water, electricity, internet, security system, insurance and janitorial services.

The cost of holding religious and cultural events.

This center strives to utilize all the potential in active religious, cultural and social groups and individuals to provide a suitable environment for gathering and interaction of Persian-speaking individuals in the city of Calgary, thus helping to bring together the Iranian and Persian-speaking community of Calgary.
